When to Pause and Consult Netra Basti

There are occasions when Netra Basti should not be given, or where certain conditions need to be discussed prior to treatment:

  • Active eye infections, irritation, or discharge.

  • Severe eye conditions such as glaucoma (without prior consultation).

Discussing your condition with your therapist ensures that Netra Basti is safe and supportive for your well-being. Prioritizing open communication allows the treatment to align with your unique needs.

Post-Treatment Care for Netra Basti

To support the healing process and protect your eyes:

  • Refrain from wearing contact lenses or makeup for 48 hours before and after the treatment.

  • Do not drive for at least 1.5 hours after the treatment. You are welcome to stay, have a herbal tea, and rest, or you can organize a lift home.

  • You will need to wear sunglasses for 3-5 hours after the treatment, as your eyes might be slightly sensitive to light. Sunglasses will be available at the clinic for a small fee.
